Whelen 400 Series

The Whelen 400 Series is a compact, versatile LED lighthead designed for warning, scene, signal, and auxiliary-lighting applications on law enforcement, fire, EMS, utility, and commercial fleet vehicles. Built with Linear Super-LED® technology, the platform provides dependable light output from a relatively small surface-mount housing.

The 400 Series is available in single-level, dual-level, and V-Series™ combination configurations. The V-Series version combines 180° warning, take-down, and puddle-light functions into one lighthead, while other models can be used for conventional warning, brake/tail/turn, marker/turn, and back-up applications.

Applicable SmartLED® configurations use self-contained electronics and provide 25 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns, while V-Series models provide 32 flash patterns. Compatible Whelen products can also be synchronized for simultaneous or alternating operation, allowing the 400 Series to be incorporated into a coordinated perimeter-warning package.

Hard-coated lenses and conformal-coated electronics help protect the lighthead against moisture, vibration, sunlight, salt, sand, and road chemicals. With multiple flanges, surface-mount adapters, Grille-Master™ housings, and bracket options available, the 400 Series remains flexible for both new installations and existing fleet applications.
