Whelen 400 Series Plus

The Whelen 400 Series Plus builds on the long-running 400 Series platform with improved efficiency, stronger lower-level visibility, and a compact surface-mount design for emergency, DOT, utility, fire apparatus, and commercial fleet applications. The updated platform provides improved light output while reducing electrical demand compared with the earlier 400 Series.

The 400 Series Plus is available in SOLO™ and DUO™ Linear Super-LED® configurations, with both self-contained SmartLED® versions and steady-burn models for installations using a remote flasher. SmartLED models include 33 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns and synchronization capability, allowing multiple Whelen lightheads to flash together or alternate as part of a coordinated warning package.

Several functional configurations are available beyond conventional warning lighting Available models include warning, brake/tail/turn, and back-up applications, along with single-level, dual-level, and V-Series™ 180° warning/alley/puddle configurations. This gives the 400 Series Plus a wide range of uses on emergency apparatus and specialty fleet bodies.

For durability, the lighthead uses E Block™ watertight sealing, hard-coated lenses, conformal-coated electronics, and an IP67 environmental rating. It also retains the same mounting footprint and accessories as the original Whelen 400 Series, which can make it a practical upgrade for existing installations.
