Whelen 500 Series

The Whelen 500 Series is a compact, wide-profile lighthead designed for emergency, fire, EMS, utility, DOT, and specialty fleet applications. Using Linear Super-LED® technology, it provides strong, consistent warning output while offering enough configuration flexibility to serve as a warning light, signal light, or auxiliary lighting component.

The 500 Series is available with Linear Super-LED®, TIR6™, and V-Series™ optics. Single-color and split-color warning configurations are available, along with combination models that provide wide-angle warning and additional auxiliary lighting functions. This makes the platform useful on grilles, vehicle bodies, fire apparatus, utility trucks, and other locations where a compact but highly visible lighthead is needed.

SmartLED® electronics are integrated into applicable models, eliminating the need for a separate flasher or power supply. Depending on configuration, the 500 Series provides 25 single-color, 69 split-color, or 32 V-Series Scan-Lock™ flash patterns, along with synchronization capability for coordinated or alternating operation with compatible Whelen equipment.

Horizontal, vertical, surface, and grommet-mount configurations are available, along with numerous flange, adapter, bracket, and protective-accessory options. Hard-coated lenses, conformal-coated electronics, and fully encapsulated construction help protect the lighthead against moisture, vibration, corrosion, sunlight, salt, sand, and road chemicals.
