The Whelen 700 Series Plus is a wide-profile surface-mount lighthead designed to provide high-intensity warning output and strong wide-angle visibility for law enforcement, fire, EMS, utility, and commercial fleet vehicles. Using Linear-LED® technology, the 700 Series Plus delivers powerful illumination from a relatively compact housing, making it useful on vehicle bodies, grilles, apparatus panels, and other locations where a larger warning footprint is desired.
The platform is available with SmartLED® self-contained electronics or in steady-burn configurations intended for use with an appropriate external flasher or control system. SmartLED models provide 32 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns, including Steady Burn, and compatible Whelen devices can be synchronized for simultaneous or alternating warning patterns.
Both standard horizontal and vertical-orientation configurations are available, giving installers flexibility when working with different vehicle body designs. Depending on the model, the lighthead can also provide high/low-power functionality. Clear or colored lenses are available, and optional black, chrome, or polished-aluminum flanges allow the finished installation to better match the vehicle or apparatus.
The 700 Series Plus uses E Block™ watertight sealing, conformal-coated electronics, and an IP67-rated construction for resistance to moisture, vibration, and harsh fleet environments. It also retains the same mounting footprint and accessory compatibility as the original 700 Series, making it a practical option for upgrading existing installations as well as new vehicle builds.
