The Whelen Alpha™ Siren Series is a compact emergency-vehicle siren platform designed for applications where a full-size siren/control system is not necessary. The Alpha Series is well suited for undercover, volunteer, and other space-conscious emergency vehicles, making it a strong fit for patrol, command, security, and specialty response applications.
The Alpha Series is available in both 100-watt and 200-watt configurations. The ALPHA12S is a self-contained 100-watt siren designed to operate one 100-watt speaker, while the ALPHASL is a remote 200-watt siren capable of operating one or two 100-watt speakers. Both systems are designed for hands-free operation and can be controlled through the vehicle horn ring or separate switches.
For added flexibility, the ALPHASL supports 20 Scan-Lock™ siren tones, allowing the warning sound profile to be configured to agency or local requirements. Several Alpha switch assemblies are available, ranging from basic on/off control to multi-position tone selection and momentary air-horn activation.
The Alpha Series uses quick-disconnect wiring and protected outputs to support dependable installation and serviceability. Because it does not include radio-repeat or public-address functionality, it is particularly useful where a straightforward, compact audible-warning system is preferred.
