The Whelen M6 is a high-performance surface-mounted lighthead designed to provide powerful warning and scene illumination for public-safety and fleet vehicles. Using Whelen Linear Super-LED® technology, the M6 delivers bright, consistent output for front, rear, and perimeter applications while maintaining a durable, medium-profile design suitable for demanding vehicle installations.
The M6 is available in SOLO™, Split-Color, and DUO™ warning configurations, providing flexibility for single- and multi-color emergency lighting applications. SmartLED® electronics provide self-contained flash control, while Scan-Lock™ and synchronization allow multiple Whelen warning devices to operate with coordinated or alternating patterns. Compatible SOLO™ and DUO™ models also feature Dynamic Variable Intensity™ (DVI™), which gradually adjusts warning-light intensity to improve nighttime visibility and scene safety.
Built for harsh operating environments, the M6 incorporates E Block™ watertight protection, hard-coated lenses, and conformal-coated electronics for resistance to moisture, vibration, road chemicals, salt, sunlight, and other environmental exposure. The lighthead can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and multiple flanges, angled housings, brackets, and protective accessories are available for vehicle-specific installations.
The M6 family also includes specialized versions for Brake/Tail/Turn, turn signal, back-up, gradient scene lighting, and V-Series® 180-degree warning/perimeter lighting, allowing matching lightheads to be used throughout a vehicle build.
