The Whelen Micron™ is an ultra-compact LED warning lighthead designed for tight installation areas on law enforcement, fire, EMS, utility, and commercial fleet vehicles. At just over 4 inches wide and less than 1 inch tall in its surface-mount form, it provides strong directional warning output without requiring much mounting space.
Micron uses TIR6™ LED optics and is available in both SOLO™ and split-color configurations. SmartLED® electronics are built directly into the lighthead, so no separate flasher, ballast, or external power supply is required.
The lighthead provides 25 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns and can be synchronized with compatible Whelen products for simultaneous or alternating operation. Surface-mount and stud-mount versions are available, giving installers flexibility for grilles, bumpers, license-plate areas, mirrors, body panels, and other compact locations.
Hard-coated lenses and conformal-coated electronics help protect the Micron against moisture, vibration, sunlight, salt, sand, and road chemicals. Its compact dimensions, low current draw, and multiple mounting options make it a strong choice for supplemental warning coverage where larger lightheads are impractical.
