The Whelen Power Airhorn™ is a compact 100-watt audible-warning system designed to give emergency, volunteer-fire, security, undercover, and specialty vehicles a strong, recognizable air-horn tone without requiring a full-featured siren system. It provides an immediate attention-getting warning for high-traffic situations, intersections, and other environments where increased vehicle presence is needed.
The system operates a single 100-watt siren speaker and provides four selectable Scan-Lock™ air-horn tones: High, Low, Pulsed High, and Pulsed Low. Activation is handled through a customer-supplied switch, allowing the Power Airhorn to be incorporated into an existing console, switch panel, or vehicle-control layout.
Two primary configurations are available. The PAH112 provides air-horn functionality only, while the PAP112 adds public-address capability and an included microphone. This makes the PAH112 a straightforward audible-warning solution, while the PAP112 is better suited for vehicles that also need voice communication for traffic control, crowd direction, or on-scene operations.
Its compact surface-mount amplifier, rugged construction, simple 12 VDC installation, and relatively low electrical demand make the Power Airhorn a practical addition to vehicles that need supplemental audible warning without the size and complexity of a complete siren/control system.
