The Whelen Traffic Advisor™ TAC8 Economy is a cost-conscious directional warning-light array designed for law enforcement, public works, utility, towing, and municipal fleet applications. Its compact, low-profile design provides clear rear-facing traffic direction for accident scenes, lane closures, roadside service, construction zones, and other situations where approaching motorists need a clear visual cue.
The TAC8 uses eight front-loaded SOLO™ Super-LED® modules to provide bright, energy-efficient directional warning. Operators can select Left, Right, Split, or Warning sequences, along with eight flash patterns, giving the system flexibility for both traffic-directing and general warning applications.
A dedicated control head is included and can be installed using VHB tape, Velcro®, or permanent mounting hardware, allowing the operator interface to be positioned where it is easy to reach without requiring a large console footprint. Cable lengths of 15, 30, or 50 feet are available, making the TAC8 adaptable to a wide range of vehicle sizes and mounting locations.
The TAC8 is built for fleet use with an extruded aluminum housing, hard-coated lenses, IP67 environmental protection, and SAE Class 1 performance.
