The Whelen U-Series™ is a compact 180° warning light designed primarily for under-mirror and other low-profile mounting locations where broad side visibility is important. Its unique “lay-flat” U-shaped optic provides wide-angle coverage without requiring a bulky housing, making it especially useful at intersections and other high-traffic environments where side warning matters.
The U-Series is available in DUO™ and TRIO™ configurations, allowing two- or three-color warning packages to be built into the same compact lighthead. Clear and smoked lenses are available, and TRIO models provide independent control of each color for added flexibility.
Integrated SmartLED® electronics provide 35 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns, synchronization with compatible Whelen products, Dynamic Variable Intensity™ (DVI™), and Steady-Lock™ capability when paired with a compatible Core® system. These functions allow the U-Series to become part of a coordinated, modern warning-light package rather than operating as a standalone light.
The lighthead can be mounted universally or with vehicle-specific under-mirror brackets.Vehicle-specific fitments are available for several common fleet platforms, including Chevrolet Silverado and Tahoe, Dodge Durango, Ford F-150 and Police Interceptor Utility, Ram 1500, and Chevrolet Blazer EV PPV applications.
