Whelen Universal Flasher

The Whelen Universal Flasher Series provides flexible warning-light control for emergency, commercial, utility, and specialty vehicles. Designed for demanding fleet applications, these modules allow multiple LED, Super-LED®, and applicable lighting circuits to be controlled from a compact solid-state flasher platform.

Two primary Universal Flasher configurations are available. The PLF46 Programmable Light Flasher provides four inputs and six outputs with up to 30 amps of total output capacity, making it a strong option for more advanced warning-light installations. It also supports Dynamic Variable Intensity™ (DVI™) and Steady-Lock™, allowing compatible lighting to be incorporated into more sophisticated vehicle warning strategies.

The ULF44 Universal LED Flasher provides four independently controlled channels and four outputs rated at 60 watts each. It offers more than 60 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns and supports alternating, simultaneous, and synchronized lighthead operation, making it useful for traditional perimeter-warning and apparatus-lighting systems.

Both platforms use fully encapsulated, solid-state electronics designed to resist moisture, vibration, and corrosion. Built-in thermal and short-circuit protection further improves reliability for emergency vehicles, utility trucks, fire apparatus, and other fleet applications where dependable warning-light operation is essential.
