Whelen Vertex™ Lighthead

The Whelen Vertex™ is a compact warning lighthead designed for discreet emergency-lighting installations in law enforcement, fire, EMS, utility, and specialty vehicles. Its small profile allows it to be installed inside headlamp and taillamp housings, body panels, mirrors, and other concealed locations where a traditional surface-mounted warning light may not fit.

Vertex is available with omnidirectional, directional, or 360° side-emitter optics, allowing the light output to be matched to the mounting location and desired viewing angle. Both single-color and split-color configurations are available, giving departments flexibility when building primary or supplemental warning-light packages.

Integrated SmartLED® electronics allow the lighthead to operate without a separate flasher, ballast, lamp driver, or external power supply. Vertex provides 25 Scan-Lock™ flash patterns and can be synchronized with compatible Whelen products for coordinated or alternating flash operation.

Installation requires only a standard 1-inch mounting hole, helping keep installations clean and compact. The fully encapsulated construction, hard-coated lens, and IP67 environmental rating provide protection against moisture, vibration, corrosion, road chemicals, salt, sunlight, and other conditions encountered in demanding fleet service.
