The Whelen WorkSide™ is a low-profile work and scene light designed to illuminate the immediate area around emergency, utility, and roadside vehicles. Instead of projecting light straight outward, WorkSide directs illumination down and away from the vehicle, helping crews see the ground and surrounding workspace without the uncomfortable glare associated with looking directly into a traditional scene light.
Each WorkSide light is engineered to illuminate approximately a 10' × 10' area, making it particularly useful along vehicle sides, near equipment compartments, around roadside work zones, and in areas where personnel frequently enter and exit the vehicle. Its slim Strip-Light™-style profile also allows installation in tight locations where a deeper conventional scene light may not fit.
Operators can tailor the light to different working conditions with four selectable turn-on styles and three reduced-power settings. Full output can be used when maximum visibility is needed, while 25%, 50%, or 75% power levels provide more comfortable lighting for close-range tasks or situations where full intensity would be excessive.
WorkSide is built for demanding fleet environments with Whelen's E Block™ watertight sealing technology, hard-coated lenses, an IP67 environmental rating, and 10–30 VDC operation.
