The Whelen WPA Series Weather Resistant Sirens are designed for specialty emergency and public-safety vehicles that need reliable audible warning in locations exposed to weather, moisture, vibration, and other demanding environmental conditions. The system is particularly well suited for motorcycles, ATVs, marine applications, and other open-cab or exposed vehicle installations where a conventional interior siren control head may not be appropriate.
At the center of the system is the WPA112 100-watt siren amplifier, which operates one 100-watt siren speaker. Standard siren functions include Wail, Yelp, Piercer, and Airhorn, while hands-free operation allows the operator to cycle through siren tones using the vehicle horn button, manual control, or an auxiliary switch.
Multiple weather-resistant control-head configurations allow the system to be adapted to different vehicle environments. The WPA1 is designed for handlebar or surface mounting, while the WPA2 provides a flush-mount solution for marine-style installations. The larger WPA3 control heads include weather-resistant switches and a microphone connection and are available in either bail-mount or flush-mount configurations.
Public Address override is available across all siren functions, giving operators the ability to provide voice instructions when needed.
