D&R PDU-16SS Power Distribution Unit
The PDU-16SS Power Distribution Unit provides centralized power distribution and voltage monitoring for emergency, public safety, fleet, and specialty vehicle electrical systems. By creating a single, organized point for accessory power distribution, the PDU-16SS helps simplify wiring and provides an easily traceable path back to the vehicle’s primary power source.
The system supports up to 15 connected accessories and continuously monitors incoming vehicle battery voltage through an LED display. Connected equipment can be divided into multiple power groups, allowing different low-voltage shutdown thresholds to be programmed for selected accessories.
This staged shutdown capability helps preserve available battery power by disconnecting designated accessory groups as battery voltage drops, while allowing other equipment to remain operational until its programmed threshold is reached. Programmable timed shutdown and low-battery protection provide additional control over vehicle electrical loads when the vehicle is parked or unattended.
The PDU-16SS also provides visual indication of faulty fuses or electrical connections through its LED display, helping simplify troubleshooting and system diagnostics. Its solid-state, all-metal construction includes a protective cover to help reduce exposure to dust and debris.
